The Dutch

Since its opening, The Dutch, under the direction of chef Andrew Carmellini, has been acclaimed and loved by its guests. It quickly became a SoHo icon, with its charming corner windows inviting passersby with a selection of fresh oysters, cozy seating, and impeccably dressed staff. Both the atmosphere and the menu have an irresistible appeal; the menu, while familiar, offers exciting new twists.

Among the highlights is the "Chinatown Calamari," squid rings fried to a crispy golden texture, served with a diced cucumber salad and dressed with fresh herbs and a spicy vinaigrette. Fresh pasta ravioli, filled with subtly smoked ricotta, float atop a bright, simple pomodoro sauce. The grilled snapper, served with an avocado sauce and charred shishito peppers, is further enhanced by the addition of their excellent French fries on the side.
